Updating

1. My blog... eventually. Promise
2. My room - It's getting a mini makeover that, YES!, does involve cleaning it. I can now see my floor.
3. My job...? I think I'm running out of intern-y type things to do so I'm thinking that it might be time to try and squeeze in a super audition for ABT in the very near future. Too bad I have no idea when any of them are. Nice.

Kailey's Photo of the Day!!

Greg Purnell, of blog.gregpurnell.com, helped Ed DJ a prom a few days ago. Pictured, we see Greg looking very dapper in his tux. He's embarrassed to be seen looking so spiffy, but I think it's safe to say that he would look a lot better if he wore this everyday.

[He refused to use this as a picture of the day, therefore I took the liberty to make it someone's picture of the day. Obviously the world needed to see it]

Summer!!

So, school is officially over and it's time for relaxation from the insanity that we call college. I've decided to take this time to reflect on the person I am now and where I would like to be by next year.
For example, I've decided that I'm going to make more of an effort to save up my money to pay off my college loans and to hopefully get my own apartment instead of living at home after I graduate.
I would also like to become better at time management and to switch the ratio of my procrastination versus my productivity so that I can get my work done in a reasonable amount of time.
I will make a better effort to stay healthy by eating right and getting a reasonable amount of exercise. I will use my free time to learn more about things that interest me instead of squandering it in front of the TV.
This summer, I'm going to focus on getting over my impatience and my laziness because I have no room for it come next semester.
This summer, I am going to let go of my ghosts and the anger that I've been harboring for too many years.

Hopefully all of these things are more or less achievable... We'll see how it goes.

In the meantime, today was my last useless day of the summer. So far I spent it sleeping until 2 in the afternoon, unpacking a bit, and playing the Sims 3.
TOMORROW!! I get to see my one, true love and twin wife forever: Miss Melissa Remo. I miss that girl. However, it also means that I need to wake myself up since I need to be in the city by 1. (Yes, THE city. Actually, I'd even be excited if it were just A city. Silly cow town of a college campus. I'm super pumped for the hobos and pigeons.)

CONGRATULATIONS! Mark Novick (of marknovick.blogspot.com)'s wife Jennie has given birth to a baby boy today! Thankfully this baby decided to wait to be born after Tommy tech. What a sweet kid already :)

A Letter to Greg

Dear Greg:

You should stop looking at my blog and do your work, please.

Tommy Can You Hear Me?

CAN YOU FEEL ME NEAR YOU???

Tommy preview is tonight. Let's hope that things don't go as atrociously as last night. There were facepalms abound. A good portion were due to the incompetence of the deck elec.
Hopefully everyone (including myself) has learned lessons from last night's mistakes and we can actually throw an awesome show together.

Friday:
Funny story how it didn't go any better, there may have been some injuries.
Despite getting his feet run over with the seashell unit, I would like to note that Brooks is a really brave trooper for continuing on with the show as best he could. I hope your feet heal quickly!!!
Apart from that, I believe that the rest of the show went a bit better than Wednesday. Hopefully it'll be even better tonight, especially considering that it's opening!!

Naps: Need or Want?

Since coming to college, I've discovered that I want to nap all the time, as opposed to when I was little and I never wanted to nap.
Funny story, since coming to college, I've discovered that you never have time to nap, as opposed to when I was little and had all the time in the world.

For example, I'd really like to be napping right now at 11:46pm, except I need to do homework... and after effects... and basically everything except sleeping.

I miss sleep.

Big Bear is angry that he never sees me anymore. But it's not my fault!
Stupid Tommy.
Everyone should go see it so that there's validation in my lack of sleep.

Current State of My Life

1. I have no life because Tommy has taken over it with stress and tons of button pushing and a million people telling me to do things at once all through my left ear. I still feel like I can hear people talking to me over my headset.
2. I lost my Big Bear. I don't know what happened but now I want to cry. Like... really? You had to run away this week? During tech? That's just not cool. Please come back. I miss you a lot. And I promise I'll stop accidentally shoving you out of the bed.
3. Greg backpacks are heavy. Especially when you start running around wearing one for about 5 minutes.
4. I could be at an awesome 20s themed party right now... but I'm way too tired. I don't even know if I can make a legitimate effort to look at after effects tonight.

11:22
Big Bear has been located in an obscure spot under my bed. I am overjoyed that he's reappeared!! By promising him I won't let him fall off the bed, he's promised not to run away again. I'm glad that we've been able to reach this agreement.

Fail Blog

Currently sitting in on linguistics for the first time in a while with Miss jackiecookfair.blogspot.com. I still haven't actually learned very much which is a little bit disappointing, however I do have some rather wonderful news.
Thanks to the wonderful Elysse Yulo, I was able to make it home last weekend and I got to see Sweeney Todd! Pictured are two views of the FANTASTIC set.
I love my high school and their talent so much.
Anyway, apart from that being so incredibly amazing and making me extremely happy (I really do miss my home a lot... Nothing like dirty hobos, pigeons, and rats to make you feel better) I've had a bit of a stressful week.
FOR EXAMPLE: just the other day I managed to not sleep at all, burn my breakfast bagel, horribly crack my iPod screen, and just generally fail at understanding how to get my work completed.
But it's getting much better, though it has absolutely nothing to do with me getting sleep because that still isn't happening. Part of it is to do with the incredibly amusing things that I stumble upon.
Stumbleupon.com is probably the best site in the entire planet, second only to Robot Unicorn Attack. If you haven't played it yet... go. Now.
Drop your work and just make your dreams come true, because you will fail :)

Speaking of dreams, Greg Purnell of the currently un-updated gregpurnell.com received a NatGeo shirt from me. It's probably the best present he will ever receive... except then he goes and gets deodorant all over it. Fail.

St. Patrick's Day

To celebrate this wonderful Irish-Catholic holiday, I have been drinking Irish coffee all day.
Also, autoCAD will not let me do my homework like I'm dying to do and I therefore want to punch a baby in the face... or kick a puppy.
Robot Unicorn attack isn't helping me feel better about the situation.
I'm going to shoot myself in the face. It's fine.
Maybe I'll just go to sleep in DRMU and pray the magical computer fairies make my autoCAD file work...
I'm also really upset that I can't go to New York and see PPAS's version of Sweeney Todd. I'm highly upset.

Spring break!!!!

Funny story about how I haven't updated my blog.... not really. I've just been lazy.
So, we're on spring break and fellow bloggers, jcooks and GP, are at my house.
We had seen A View from the Bridge and Jersey Boys yesterday. SUPER AMAZING.
Although, admittedly, Jersey Boys (even with a "partial view") was a lot better than A View from the Bridge. View had an.... interesting set, a ton of lights that seemed almost unnecessary (unrelated), and somewhat distracting acting from Beatrice. But overall, it was pretty fantastic and I was thoroughly entertained. I was also pleasantly surprised by Scarlett Johansson's acting abilities. However I still feel that the PPAS version of View was 10xs better.
Jersey Boys was absolutely phenomenal. I really don't have the words to describe it, but you should all go see it.... Right now.
Later today, a group of us are going to go backstage at American Idiot where my dad works. Pretty excited.

In other news, I made breakfast for Jackie and Greg which was fantastically delicious, but I had to make myself a separate breakfast because theirs involved bacon which (because of Lent) I can't have until after Friday. But my yogurt/granola/peach concoction was still delicious. They're super jealous of it. I promise.

YOU WANNA LARP WITH ME???

So, I got dungeons and dragons from ebay... I'd say about Tuesday.
I don't know if I've ever been more excited. SO, because the game is that awesome, I've decided that there should be a super D&D party at the DRMU!!

YOU'RE INVITED!!!

YES!!

YOU!!!

COME AROUND 5!!! It'll be fantastic!

But forrealzies, D&D is super awesome. Anybody who's hatin' clearly is just jealous that they can't partake in the super fun time that is fantasy role-playing games.. or larping. It's not quite because you aren't exactly moving around... BUT I like using the word larp. So deal.

WOAH Flashback! Did not want you...

I've recently had one of those days where I just got transported back in time to how I felt when I was in 8th grade. I did not enjoy 8th grade in the least.
Not one bit.
8th grade sucked so hardcore.
8th grade is the equivalent to my day and I'm not really pleased about it.

As I sit here waiting...

Because I come from New York and don't trust people with my stuff, I sit in the laundry room and wait to switch the loads.
It's also more realistic today, considering that a thousand people are waiting to do their laundry since a ton of machines are broken and everybody waited to do it at the last minute.
I don't want my clothes to be sitting in a heap somewhere getting all dirty when I just washed them...

Anyway, creepers need to stop. I can't handle it anymore. Honestly? I've been 18 for less than a month, and they're already making actual moves now.
This can't happen. I legit need a body guard or something.

Any offers? I can pay in paintings and food!

11:56 pm

Creepers really need to stop. It's gotten worse and I feel exceptionally violated. I don't understand why anyone would think it's okay to write a letter like that to someone who was half their age (and a MINOR) when they met, and apparently feeling that way the entire time... UGH.

Sad Day

So, the Greg Purnell Daily (which was a fantastic blog) is no longer.

I'm extremely upset about this because I'm trying really hard to find things to keep my from doing my homework, but I no longer have the daily updates of awkward Greg pictures to keep me entertained.
I don't know what to do with myself. Homework....? Yeah, right.

I probably should get started on the thousand pages of reading I have to do... like marknovick.blogspot.com's reading. But who really cares about that class? PSH.

Umm.... What?

I meant to blog about something yesterday.

Pretty sure it had something to do with Mike Demers still not being Mel Gibson and David O Smith.... doing something.
There was some inappropriate weenis touching on his part towards Krystal: not okay.

Also: Avoiding homework. Still. Hence, the awkward post. I should get around to it evenutally....

People I Hate

I hate some people.
I actually hate them.

Elementary school and middle school ruined my life due to many of my classmates, resulting in self-esteem issues (among other detrimental problems occurring from my damaged psyche).
Yet, for some reason, these people decide that it's a good idea to friend me on facebook, and ask me about how my life is like we're best friends. THAT IS NOT OKAY. I'm really not exaggerating at all to say that my lower schooling days were torture for me.
Anyway, somehow, throughout all of that, I have no guts in me to tell them to their faces that I don't want to talk to them because I hate their guts with my very core for what they put me through. No, what I do instead is be polite, and ask them how their lives in college our going.
Fun Fact: All of them go to shitty colleges. All of them. They're all at half ass colleges that pretend they're amazing when they're really just barely decent. Meanwhile, the friends that I have kept (which is a total of two people) and myself have gone to great colleges and are attempting to do something important with our lives.

These bitches can die. They deserve the shittiest karma.

Apologies for the rant, but it was a terrible time of my life. Absolutely horrible. And I can't handle the shittiness of it.

P.S. UNACCEPTABLE.

I'M LEGAL!!!!

IT'S MY 18TH BIRTHDAY!!!! WUDDUP???

I should probably be asleep right now, but I'm too busy trying to keep up with all of the facebook messages that I've been getting, because apparently I know a lot of people. Anyway, many festivities are planned for today. If I remember, I shall try to write it all down.

The hypothetical list of things to be done goes as follows:
Lunch @ Alice's Tea Cup
Hair
Pinkberry
Nose Piercing
Johnny Rockets
Ice Skating
Cigarettes
Porn
Registering to vote for something
.....Stuff?? Who knows... it's New York. Something else may just pop up out of nowhere.

I think there's also an attempt to go dancing on Saturday. We'll see.....

Jan. 10 8:29
Lunch was epic: I arrived late and then left early. Because I'm that cool; except really because Greg won the lottery for Hair. SO GOOD!! Food and tea were delicious, in case you all were wondering.
Greg failed at Pinkberry, but everyone else got it right. Good job!
Ice skating did not happen, nor did Johnny Rockets BUT I did get my nose pierced and we did end up in a porn shop on St. Marks, where Angie and friends decided it would be great to surprise me with a candy garter. I have the greatest friends :)
OH and Charlie from the Green Emporium gave me a free cigar and lighter to go with my lottery ticket and pack of cigarettes! Charlie's awsome slash married to Ms. Matejick, PPAS's chem teacher! They're so cute!
Did not vote for anything, did not order anything off of an infomercial, and did not got dancing.
But overall it was an absolutely fantastic birthday party!! Yay!

So... Now I'm 18. Meaning I'm legal. Which is super awesome! However, it also means that it's no longer illegal for creepy old men to hit on me. Which is absolutely not okay, so I may just pretend that I'm still 15 or something haha.
